The Rancor Speeder Bikers was founded by passionate members of the Star Wars costuming community who believed there was a better way to welcome new builders into the hobby. Inspired by a shared love of Star Wars, craftsmanship, motorcycles and immersive storytelling, the club has been built from the ground up with the complete novice in mind, providing a clear and supportive path from first concept to fully realised costume.

Unlike many traditional costuming organisations that continue to rely on fragmented information and outdated forum structures, the Rancor Speeder Bikers embraces a modern, accessible approach. Every aspect of the club has been carefully designed to make information easy to find, standards easy to understand, and progression enjoyable for builders of every experience level.

At the heart of the organisation are our narrative-driven Costume Reference Libraries. Rather than simply providing lists of required components, every costume tells the story of the character behind it - explaining not only what is worn, but why it exists within the harsh environments of the Outer Rim. This approach encourages creativity, immersion and craftsmanship while ensuring every member works towards a consistent standard.
